ELEMENTS of SUCCESS

These elements in themselves will not guarantee success, but they’ll give you an edge over people who are stumbling around with no direction.

Be brutally honest about your ability. If you think you’re perfect, you’ll never improve.

Never, ever give up. Quitting guarantees failure.

Excuses are for losers.

Don’t lose your sense of humor. It helps to laugh at your mistakes; it helps more to learn from your mistakes.

Beware of experts. Most of them are primarily experts in their own mind.

Trust people until they give you a reason not to.

Hard work is necessary. But….

Take time to have fun.

Break rules. Within reason.

Plan contingencies. Nobody gets everything right the first time.

Learn to distinguish between objective and emotional decisions. Objective decisions are necessary, emotional decisions are often times a useless luxury.

Dare to be different. A herd mentality guarantees never rising above mediocrity. You must learn to think for yourself.

Take risks. Be sure they’re calculated risks.

Get mad, then get over it. Don’t stew over ancient history.

Live a healthy lifestyle. The human body is the most ingenious organism ever created and you only get one, take care of it. Beware: there is more misinformation about staying healthy than anything else on earth.

Your greatest success will never be measured by money.
